Positions remained unchanged in the early laps with Qatar's Alex Carella leading Mad Croc Sami Selio with Thani Al Qamzi holding third place ahead of Qatar's Shaun Torrente.

DOHA - Saturday, March 10th - Ahmed Al Hameli battled Sami Selio at the race start, passed him on the first turn and went on to control the race and win for the first time in Doha taking the opening Grand Prix of the 2012 UIM F1 H2O World Championship for power boating in front of thousands of race fans along the corniche in Doha, Qatar on Saturday.
