The history of International Power-boating
is inextricably linked with that of the Blaze-Singha Racing Team.
Its glorious history, strewn with successes and sporting feats, started
in 1979 when the Team Mare Magnum was founded. The skills and professionalism
of this sports association rapidly made it a reference point for international
competitive power-boating.
Such characteristics, together with a strong determination to win, enabled
the Team Mare Magnum to continuously improve its skills. In 30 years of
activity this has lead to 7 World Titles, 11 European Titles, 25 Italian
Titles and 4 World Records.
These were all memorable moments, particularly, the first race that the
team managed to complete, obtaining its first championship points, the first
pole position and naturally the first victory.
These achievements convinced the Managing Director/Technical Manager of
the team that the times were ripe for stepping into what, in every motor
sport, is considered the queen of sports: Formula 1.
That was in 1997, and now, seven years on, the Blaze-Singha Racing Team,
which has picked up the invaluable legacy of the Team Mare Magnum, has become
an International fact.
One of the most competitive teams and one of the teams to beat.
Experience, enthusiasm, a great competitive spirit and a passion for work
are only some of the qualities which characterize this closely-knitted team.
A team that is now firmly at the top end of the pilot and constructors championship
tables and which has been able to build a structure which is highly efficient
both for its organization and for its technical abilities.
At the root of any enterprise there is the human factor and the Blaze-Singha
Racing Team is made up of the best professionals in the field. Professionals
who are totally dedicated to their work in order to achieve the only trophy
that is still to be won by the team: that Formula 1 title which would enrich
and fill the showcase which is already the envy of the world.
In the past 9 years, the collaboration of some extraordinary pilots has
been crucial for the team; particularly, that of Franz Cantando. A champion
of great talent and charisma, whose qualities were at the basis of the decision
to compete in F1 and thanks to whom the title has come close to be won several
times.
The desire to continue with a project which began a long time ago, is proved
by the confirmation of Massimiliano Moreschi as second pilot for the 2006
racing season; Max is the youngest pilot of the circus and, with his help
and the advice of Franz Cantando, he is going to develop both his technical
and personal skills.
Talent, professionalism and quality are essential traits for a grand design
and for an ambitious team, proud to represent that uniqueness in creativity
that characterises the “Made in Italy”.
Sport, power-boating, the Grand Prix, the victories, the defeats all mark
the path that was begun many years ago, a wonderful journey in the world
of experience; an experience which has a single common denominator a profound
belief in our history and our passion.
